TrackIR4 jerkiness in IL2 online game play

Hi I have TrakIR4 vector installed on my system (Vista home premium 64bit) and it works like a dream ....except if I try a online peer to peer type connection. It becomes to "twitchy' I say this because while you can pan around very smoothly, it will "twitch" every 20 secs or so making it competely unsuable online. It is plugged directly into the computer and was working fluidy for awhile online but not now. Any ideas? Video cards are up to date and running everything in compatible mode and as admin.

Networking software?
AntiVirus software?
Have you tried turning off periodic news check, within the TrackIR software?

I have tried all 3 suggestions and I still get the jerkiness.

What networking/antivirus software are you running?
