Ok OK...

Its like this...i had a nasty virus on my laptop (that i used previously with arena)...so i cleaned it good...but just to be sure i decided to format the drive (it was that time of the year anyway:P)...

Now i installed all back...even downloaded the latest arena beta...authorized all ok...my dell m90 recognizes all cameras ok...

ARENA WONT START!! its keep on hanging..when i go right click task manager i see it in the services list hitting somewhere bet 17 to 20Megs of RAM...

BIG HELP..got a project deadline!

PS.: 1st time i ran installer it said that i had to install VC2005, i hit ok and it installed arena anyway...but i still went ahead and downloaded a 2.56 mEG file from microsoft claiming to be the required file, installed it ok...i decided to reinstall arena just in case...and this time arena didnt give me any warning..i was all happy...until... wel... u know the rest... IT DOES NOT START:S:S:S

Downloading sp3 of XP now to see if it solves the issue:(

EDIT: My system is a Laptop dell precision m90 2gb ram T2500 2GHZ, i never had a prob like this b4.

Ok...this is getting really scary now...

Installed and authorized on a dell precision 390 (desktop)

It ran Once, i was able to calibrate ok, using the new beta 1.3...meanwhile installation of sp3 of xp on the laptop was done...i figured, lets go back, so i removed the cameras from the desktop to the laptop...NADA...still same thing...

Plug in back to the desktop...NOW this one wont start also!!

Sp2 xp on the desktop, with 2GB RAM, 2.4GHZ quadro4500 vga card

now im really screwed!:(

Can you start the software, if the cameras are unplugged from the system?

If you are in a pinch and want to eliminate the 1.3 beta as a potential factor in the problems you are having, you might consider installing one of the earlier official releases until you finish up your project.

Latest chipset drivers, motherboard bios installed?

When the cameras are detected on the system, how are they listed in the device manager? Under USB or NaturalPoint?

Also, if you put a marker in the center of the volume and then start Arena, do all of the cameras have a small status LED lit? If one does not, does Arena start when you unplug it from USB?

Hi Guys....

Must be something with the OS installing...i wanted try out what vincent proposed...i plugged all in..and all of a sudden the whole system was working again:):)...

I was so relieved but very puzzled at the same time, as to why it has happened...

i did notice however that a day b4 this happened..my laptop installed .net framework 2...could this be the thing that was missing?

Thx once again:)

It might have been the issue, but I'm not sure that is is required.

Requires DirectX 9
Requires MS VC 2005 Runtime
