Using TrackIR with B-17: II Flight Simulator

Greetings all. New to this forum and looking for advice.

I am in the final stages of building a B-17 Flight Simulator station for use at the 401st Bomb Group Reunion coming up in October in Washington DC.

The software is FSX + A2A Simulations B-17: II Add-on.

This simulator will be available for veterans to use at the reunion, providing a chance for them to "fly" once more in a B-17 after nearly 63 years.

I'm considering adding on the IR Tracker, but since I am using a heavily customized keyboard, with modified keyboard maping, I am concerned that this add-on might conflict.

Basically, I simply would like the pilot to be able to turn their head to look our the side windows, or down to look at the instrument panel.

My question is, can this Tracker equipment be set up so as to require a minimum of (or none) keyboard control modification?

Following the reunion, this simulator will be presented to the 8th Army Air Force museum in Savannah, as a hands-on exhibit to compliment their Deenethorpe airfield exhibit. Deenethorpe was the base for the 401st Bomb Group.

Any insight and help is greatly appreciated!

Regards,
Joe

Generally you do want a few keys to be assigned to recenter, or pause, the view, but you can change those to keyboard commands, or joystick commands, within the TrackIR software itself.
