I am planning to buy an optitrack mocap system and I would like you to show me the configuration that better suites my needs and space limitaions

The room were I am going install the cameras is square 14'x 14'and 12tall.

I only plan to capture an actor. I can use wall mounts for the higher cameras.

1. do you think it's enough space to capture a single actor ?

2. how can I choose the correct setup ? I'm hesitating between 8 and 12 cameras setup. can I have a major improvement with a 12 cam setup compared to a 8 one ?

3. Where will you set up the cameras (High and position)

please tell me how I can optimize my configuration.

And , one last question, I live in Spain, what about the taxes and duty costs?. Can you tell me these ammounts of another Optitrack system sent to Spain?

thanks so much for your attention, I can't wait to use Optitrack.

1 - It is a tight space, but with wall mounts, and rotating the cameras 90 degrees, you could get better than a 7' * 7' capture volume, which would work ok for 1 actor.

2 - With such a small area, 8 cameras, 4 high and 4 lower would probably cover you just fine. Going with more cameras might help with some marker occlusion. You can always start with 8, and work your way up.

3 - The upper camers would be better in the corners, at approx 10'+, with the lower cameras 2.5-3' lower. As stated earlier I would also look at rotating them 90 degrees for better vertical coverage.

4 - As far as taxes and duties go, the customs agency of the customers country collect the fees and are charged after we ship the product, so I we aren't able to anticipate the amount.
