(SOLVED) BtRL - TrackIR not detecting it...

Hi, I received the NaturalPoint October newsletter, noticed there was support for BtRL (and Freespace 2) so I thought I'd fire up my copy after updating it and give it a try.
I've updated the game, and I've updated the game settings in the TrackIR software. The game shows up in the list.
When I load the game, either from the game executable, or from the game launcher, trackir doesn't detect the game.
Any suggestions?
EDIT: I did some digging and found out that you have to use one of the updated FreeSpace Open builds... it's now detecting TrackIR OK, it's just a matter of finding which build is best now as the one I tried made the game into a slideshow... For reference, I found the builds here: Freespace Open recent builds.
