Space, Cameras and points tracked - how to minimize?

Hi,
I have an optitrack system installation issue in which the space is a 6*6 ft cubicle. I have an 6 camera system - and I want to track only 3 points (3 points on the head only).
My questions are -

Should I use all 6 cameras? Use fewer? Use more cameras?

No matter what amount of cameras you recommend, is it recommended to use them in a 2-level setup or just single level setup?

I did read in this forum that the minimum distance between tracked point and camera lens has to be 0.6m - but I don't know where this number came from - nor are there any details on the V100 cameras.. where do I get/verify that info?

Nevermind the question about the V100 cameras - found that info.

The two level camera setup isn't mandatory, its just optimal for typical use. For large volumes with 12+ cameras we tend to dedicate the additional cameras to the top tier. If you think other configurations might produce better results for your tracking needs, we encourage you to try them out and see what works best for you.

The minimum ray length from a camera is one of the factors which controls how close a tracked point can be from a camera. This is adjustable in Arena and the Tracking Toolkits.

Another factor which affects how close a marker can be is that the default camera illumination can be to bright for proper tracking in close proximity to the cameras. If you need to track closer its recommended to turn the IR strobe brightness (by reducing the camera exposure setting). Note that reducing the strobe brightness will also reduce a cameras maximum tracking range.
