Track Clip Pro Overheating?

My rig runs smoothly for two or three hours then suddenly starts jumping all over the place. The same lighting conditions. I thought it might be getting heat from the top of the monitor so I moved it. The problem still persists. I unticked the usb power saving modes. This has been going on for several weeks. Does the unit overheat? Any other idea what might be causing this?
Many thanks.

Hard to believe the sensor would overheat.
When the phenomenon occurs minimize your flightsim, in the TIR program choose View/Tracking, your clip(?) will show green, disruptive lighting or heatsource will be red. Try to cover up light/heatsource.

The device is designed to run warm.

Are you plugging into a powered hub, or the back of the PC directly?
