Lightwave plug in?

Is there any chance that a lightwave plug in for mo cap and facial animation is in the near future? Lightwave is a great package and has stood the test of time. Though they have always lacked in characer tools, but in the latest builds they are catching up. There are so many license's for Lightwave for Tv shows like Battle Star Galactica and the like. A direct mo cap plug could push the package to other uses. I currently have to go Arena to Lightwave to Motion builder to lightwave. A direct plug would be great. Newtek would love to work with designers to progress with character tools like yours. Any thoughts?

While we don't currently have plans for a Lightwave plugin, the SDK for our NatNet streaming protocol (from Arena) is available as a free download from our website. Someone with knowledge of the Lightwave API should be able to write a plugin which captured and utilized the mocap data streaming from Arena. Maybe you can get some Lightwave community members interested in taking on the project?

I'm on it right now. Lightwave has a great community and I'm sure there is someone with great coding abilities who can do this.

Thanks

P.S Would the same data be available for input to lightwave using Expressions facial mocap? Also is this data recordable as it streams into lightwave, or does it make more since to create a series of plugs to use recorded date from Arena and Expressions?
