TrackIR 4PRO goes spastic in Rfactor

Just got Trackir&headclip for Christmas. I find it pretty hard to understand the manual and the menus. I'm sure it works great when set up properly, but how?
At the moment, using the 2 heads display, 1 sort of follows my head movements, except it doesn't want to turn left.(yaw). The 1 for my head in the game thrashes around like a strangled chook.
I have tried editing the setting for yaw etc. both from the graph and the drop down menus but everything I do makes it worse.
I'm running XP and have have selected the clip in the menu. I also have the clip fitted as per instuctions on the left hand side of my headphones.
Any tips and/or links to info greatly appreciated.
Oh yes and Merry Christmas to all.
Cheers Steve.

So you have TrackClip Pro selected in all the profiles (flight, default, racing, etc.)?

Looking at the Tracking screen, View -> Tracking, what do you see here?

The good news is all is now working well.
I'm not sure if my problem was that I had selected track clip pro in racing only, but I got it working using the exclusive load select.
I have since selected the clip in all profiles and cancelled the exclusive load and all is good.
I can see how this would be good for flight sims and may give them a go too.
Thanks,Cheers and Happy New Year....Steve.

My guess is that you have some sort of light in the background interfering with your head tracking. I have a certain incandescent light that makes my TrackIR freak out when it is on. Also, sunlight can do this or Christmas lights.

Back again with exactly the same problem.
All was good until I installed the software update yesturday. The only thing that's changed is the software, so it's not lights. Have played around with all the settings and nothing makes any differance.

Thanks for your reply.
Solved the problem by unpluggng the unit then plugging it back in.
Something to do with loading the new software I gues.
