Very often when I start Windows XP one or both of the buttons (spec switches connected to Smartnav 3) do not work and I have to unplug and replug them. I tried installing the latest driver but that did not solve the problem.

Any ideas?

PS How about using openid as an alternative to userid and password for these forums.

Are you connected directly to the PC, or using a hub?

Does the SmartNAV work normally, otherwise?

What version of the SmartNAV software are you running?

I am connected directly and apart from that it works normally. Software version 3.2 build 35.
