Hmm ok I loaded the capoeira 1 bvh file and got some un exspected results. I am reall new to mocap in max 2009 so i am sure it is user error. this is what happened.
1. on load it scaled rig to a massive size from orignal rig size. I was suprized to see the rig scale to change at all
2. feet not on ground about 1 foot off ground
3. hands bent to 90 degrees.
what can be done to correct these issues or can you direct me to a good tutorial for max and mocap

How are you getting your motion capture data applied to face rigs in max 2009? Any tutorials on how to get motion capture data into max beside using biped set up?

Arena Expression only exports C3D file for facial data.
Also for applying fullbody motion BVH to your character, if you can first try loading it on to a biped, save it as bip file, then apply it your character, that might leave your rig size unchanged.

Ok since expression only exports c3d file format how would I get expression data into Max 2009 at this time?
