Sync and USB cable

Hi,
I write from University of Tor Vergata, Rome. Last month we received 2 new v100 cameras, so now we have 8, but maybe we forgot to order enough sync cable, so now we miss one. Is the sync cable a simple rca cable? If so, i think i can buy it in a common electronic shop... Must all the sync cables in use be of the same length or can I use different lengths at the same time?
And about USB cables, i need more lenght again: can i buy common longer USB cables? Must they have some specifics?
Thanks in advance,
Alex

Alex:

Yep, sync cable is simple RCA, you can use any length basically. With the USB cables, you don't want to go over 15ft (about 4.5 meters)

Your welcome!

Bryan,
thanks for the help... another question: on Natural Point Optitrack site i saw the USB 2.0 Active Extension Cable : 5m.
"Cables can be used in series (up to 3) for longer distances."
So, why with the extension cables I can reach 5*3=15 m and with a single cable i can't go over 5 m? Has the extension an external power source that gives strength to the signal?

USB specifications limit USB cables to 5 meters, unless you use an active USB extension cable, or powered USB hub.

We have never tested with more than 2 active USB cables, in series.
