I installed UI 1.1 and am only getting 3 DoF, pitch-yaw and tilt. All 6 DoF seem to be working when in the profile but only 3 in the game.

Thank You
Wubke

Sorry..UI 1.1 is All Aircraft Arcades Unified Installer for MODS. One of the MODS is for 6DoF

Currently IL2 only official supports 2DOF (yaw and pitch)

one thing to check is that all axes are enabled in the profiles, other than that we do not have any experience in IL2 mods

The default Mod only has the three axis enabled. In order to turn on the full 6DOF you have to enable that part of the mod.

After installing the mod there is a new executable in the game folder called "IL2 version switcher.exe" Run that and you will then see some radio buttons that let you select the version you want to run. Either 4.08, 4.08 Mod, 4.08 Mod with 6DOF and likewise for 4.09b. Just select the one you want click on switch and you are away.

Thanks thdees, I found what you were talking about but when I click "Switch" it says " IL-2 Sturmovik........NOT FOUND." It shows the 4091b with MODS and 6Dof selection is the active one though.

Hi,

It sounds like the Mod has not installed correctly. I'm no expert in the Mod installation but can I suggest trying to re-install it again if you have made a copy of your old IL2 directory. I have my original directory which I don't touch. Any changes I make are by copying that then making the changes to that one. I just rename it to the original name. I take it you are running IL2 Forgotten Battles 1946.

Glad to hear you got it going. How do you find it? I myself prefer not to use it. I am so used to the manual view switching that I find I get no benefit from the 6DOF. I think a lot is to do with the fact I am using a widescreen monitor and the way the field of view is modelled. In NORMAL view I lose too much from the top and bottom of the screen so I fly in WIDE mode. This doesn't work well with the 6DOF as after leaning forward it defaults back to NORMAL view and I have to switch it manually back to WIDE all the time.
