Trackir not working with FSX

I have Trackir pro with clip. Working fine with all my other games. Latest trackir software installed. Flight sim x is showing in trackir games list. Vista32.
Just installed FSX Deluxe edition, updated with the SP2, or whatever patch that automaticaly downloads from microsofts site.
Blue light does not come on when starting FSX. Trackir does not work in game (virtual cockpit).
Is there something else I'm suppose to do? I dont see trackir listed in game controllers in FSX settings panel. Is it suppose to be?

After reading forums, I'm confused.
This problem happens mostly because something called Simmconnect is not installed properly?
Where does simmconect come from? Is it part of FSX install, or part of SP1, or SP2? Where do I get these Simconnect files?

It is installed with FSX, SP1, and SP2.
Do you have any othe3r add-on applications installed?
Are you both applications at the same permission level?
Try right clicking on the exe file for both, and selecting run as admin.

Got it working.
I installed SP2 (not sure it was installed at all), and reinstalled Trackir software. Not sure which fixed it.

Hi,
i have the same problem. Trackir is not recognizing FS X.
Reinstalled Trackir Software, delete the Folders in Winsxs, reinstalled FS X and the Acceleration Pack.
Repaired it, did all I could find (except a Windows reinstall)
but it is still not recognizing FS X.
Tried an older Verison of the TrackIR Software, tried with and without the newest GameUpdates, even did not work.
In Black Shark it works perfectly.
I've seen that a lot of people have that problem and a lot of problems are unsolved.
Is it just bad luck?

What version of Windows are you using?
What version of the TrackIR software?
Do you have any add-ons installed for FSX?

I use Vista 64 Ultimate.
Latest TrackIR Build, also tried the Build before.
Tried with and without Game Updates.
I don't have any add-ons installed for FSX.
Just a clean install of FSX (with Acceleration Pack).

Try running both applications as an admin (right click on their exe files, and select run as admin.)

I already turned UAC off.

OK, but right clicking on an application, and selecting run as admin is different.
