So, being the brave person that I am, I downloaded the newly available beta01 of the TIR5 software, as it says it supports the TIR4Pro.
My problem is that it fails to detect my TIR4Pro.
OS: Windows Vista Ultimate edition 64bit
(TIR4 works fine with the updated driver included in the beta software).

I also installed version 5 beta 1 on my vista 64 system.
After uninstalling version 4 first and installing version 5 beta 1, the software recognized my trackir device but did not respond to it.
It seems the installer did not copy the new driver, since it appears to have the same version number as the previous one.
But I was able to get it functioning by manually copying the npusbio_x64.sys file from C:\Program Files (x86)\NaturalPoint\TrackIR5\Drivers to C:\Windows\System32\drivers and overwriting the existing copy.

Initially I had this problem, I had to unplug my TrackIR 4 and plug it into a different usb port. After plugging it into a different usb port, it did the new hardware detected/installing drivers and beta 5 software was then able to detect it.

Well, that eventually worked for me too...
unplugging it and reseating it into another port apparantly killed my motherboard (whoops).
But plugging it into the *new* motherboard got it working correctly!
