Continual rapid image movement [u]after engine start[/u

Good Afternoon, Vincent,

I think I may have a rather unique problem. I've combed the forum and used the search function and have, so far, found no mention of it.

The problem is that TrackIR 4 with Track Clip works perfectly, as advertised, on the ground until I start the engines and then goes into an extremely rapid cycling between the area of the rudder pedals and the normal forward view out the windshield. When the engines are shut down TrackIR returns to the normal view and perfectly tracks normal head movement with no uncalled for movement of any kind.

The three vertical green dots in the tracking panel are centered and aligned and show no other images except the three green dots.

Any help in the resolution of this problem would be most deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance for both this great product and your efforts.

What gaming application are you using?

Do you have any add-ons installed, with a head latency option?

What version of Windows are you using?

Standard aircraft, or add-on?

Vincent,

I'm most impressed with Natural Point's support. That was an unbelievably fast response!

gaming application: Flight Simulator 2004

add-ons with head latency: none that I'm aware of - no Active
Camera

Windows version: Windows XP - SP3

aircraft: Aircraft is an add-on - Alphasim's
EA-6B Prowler for FS2004

Please let me know if you need anything else.

Do you get this with a standard aircraft, within FS9?

Latest video card drivers installed?

anti aliasing enabled on the card?

1)The mentioned movement is exactly the same whether I use the
default Cessna 172 in the default flight at SEA or the
Alphasim EA-6B Prowler.

2)I have just, today, installed the latest WHQL driver for my video card, from NVidia, the 185.85 WHQL MAY 7, 2009.

3) Anti-aliasing is enabled and functioning.

A slight update to my original posting;

The movement will stop even when the engines are running in either the MS default Cessna or the Alphasim Prowler if I either close the visual throttle on the aircraft's panel by dragging it all the way fully closed with the pointer and my mouse, by pressing the F1 key to ensure the throttle is fully closed, or by physically closing, hard, my CH throttle control. With the slightest forward throttle movement by any method and the rapid movement immediately again commences.

Thanks for your continued help

Vincent, Good Afternoon,

While looking at other sections of this Forum I ran across the following;

MS Flight Simulator /X/2004/2000
Stutter only when engine starts in FS2004
#35567 04/09/09

This thread seems to exactly mirrored my problem here. I was wondering if any resolution had been reached, prehaps offline, with this poster which might applicable to my problem.

Thanks

Are you running any joystick software?

No, Sir,

No joystick software is installed. All joysticks are installed directly and all settings for them are manipulated through FSUIPC.

Thanks, Vincent, for not giving up. It's appreciated.

and if you don't run FSUIPC?

Vincent, forgive me, I may be a bit slow after a large lunch.

I wonder if you might amplify a bit on your question?

Do you mean to temporarily remove FSUIPC from FS2004?
