I've been looking over the forums for a solution to my problem but I feel like my TrackIR hardware is dying, here are the symptoms and what I have tried...
1. TrackIR was sometimes not detected, TrackIR4 program would not run.
Solved by: Removing TrackIR connection when not in use and only plugged in after Windows had booted up, TrackIR4 program would run as long as the TrackIR4 was not plugged in. Also, installed TrackIR5 program that seemed to solve problem
2. TrackIR was detected, light was on, but not tracking
Solved by: Trying a different USB port, reinstalling drivers constantly
3. TrackIR detected, blue light blinked intermittently until I ran TrackIR5 then no lights when on.
NOT SOLVED
This series of degrading problems seems very hardware related. Right now I can't get it to work via any USB ports, can't get it to work on XP, Vista, or Windows 7 and tried on a laptop and a desktop. My only deduction is that it is a hardware issue.Could anyone advise on what I should do?
Oh and I've only had my TrackIR4 for only a few weeks and love it and would love to have a consistently working piece.
