just wondering how often the "dots" have to be replaced and why?
can the dots be ordered separately and what do they cost?

The dots are actually 3M reflective material. They only need to be replaced if you use them on your forehead directly, because they loose their "stickyness" after about 4 uses. If you mount them on something, like glasses or a hat then they can last a very long time. Also, grease from fingers can make them less reflective, but you can clean them with water. New dots come 60 to a sheet and cost $6.00
