Blinking green LED after wake up from sleep

Hi,
This blinking LED is driving me crazy. I already asked a question about this before, but the problem is still there, so I'll take another shot.
After I wake my computer up from the sleep state, TrackIR green LED starts blinking, as if I am not running its software. Why doesn't the TrackIR software reinitialize the hardware after wake up and shut this maddening blinking LED off?

Are you connecting directly to the PC, or using a hub?
Have you disabled the power saving across the USB ports, within the device manager?

I am connecting using a hub.
I cannot see a way of disabling the power saving across the USB ports within the device manager. Can you be more specific?

USB devices -> USB Root hub -> Properties -> Power management tab -> uncheck the option to allow the system to turn of the device to save poer.
Does the hub, have it's own power supply?

Power saving is already unchecked (i.e., disabled).
hub has its own power supply.
Any suggestions?

Try connecting directly to the PC.
Updating the chipset drivers.

I do not understand this "Connect directly to PC" suggestions. Then, what are the hubs for? I do have a hub which has an external power adapter, so the power shouldn't be the problem, then what is it?
I have so many devices that the manufacturers suggest that I directly connect to the PC, it's ridiculous. I'd run out of ports in no time if I did that.
I thought there were standards for USB ports, including hubs. If so, then why does it matter if you connect to a hub or the port directly?
This is an honest question (i.e., not bitching
), I'd appreciate if someone can explain it to me.

Well, there are standards for USB power, but not all hubs are created equal. Some manufactures, will supply and inadequate AC power adaptor, for the hub, which will under power the USB ports (specifications are 500mA) being under powered may work for some devices like keyboards, mice, etc. which don't require much amperage to work, but some higher power devices, like the TrackIR, can then be under powered.
Connecting directly to the PC, even just for testing, can help eliminate the connection as an issue, as most MB manufactures stopped underpowering their USB connections several years ago.
