New User. Question about glasses please

Hi;
I have ordered a TrackIR5 with the Pro Clip today and it hasn't arrived yet. When I scanned the site before ordering I specifically looked for something that addressed the use of glasses with the clip. I found none save for the 'reflective surface" warnings.
Friends are now telling me to EXPECT problems because I wear glasses.
Can someone please advise on this so I know what to do when the unit arrives.
FWIW, the unit will be used exclusively in Microsoft FSX.
Thank you very much.

I am just a user (not affiliated to NP), nor did I wear glasses with the TIR by now, but I do not see why wearing glasses should influence the tracking - at least not when using the TrackClip Pro.
As far as I have been able to learn, the TCP emits IR-light (actively) which then is captured by the sensor in the camera. Your glasses do not emit anything - so... No problem!
(Now comes the "educated guessing" part:) When using the Vector Clip IR-light is being emitted by LED's in the camera itself, which then is reflected by the Vector Clip. Your glasses MIGHT reflect the IR-light, too, but
1) due to the curved surface of your glasses the reflection should get reduced a whole lot (in comparison to the reather big reflectors on the clip)
and
2) this is sth. you could "rule out" by an adjustment in the sensor's sensitivity...
So, I'd say don't worry about what others say!

I've been using the Trackir system(s) for years and I wear my glasses while using it with no problems at all, especially with the pro clip. You'll enjoy it once you get pass the learning cruve.

Just another long-time user voice, Dudley. You're going to find a). that glasses have absolutely no interference, impact or any other connection to the TrackIR system, and 2). - being an old warbird jockey - you are going to just LOVE the A2A aircraft! I know you fly them, as I've read many of your tutorials: now you're going to have to rewrite a couple of them, as TIR5 will allow you to stick your head out and see just where she's pointing.
I have no idea how anyone can fly without this equipment!

I'm actually working with A2A on several projects right now. Looking forward to the arrival of the Track IR tomorrow. It seems to be an amazing piece of equipment.
I've not used it before fearing conflicts with add on betas I test for various devs. If there is a bug, I need the system as clean as possible to narrow it down.
My most recent understanding is that the unit will not interfere with other software so I'm looking forward to using it for the reasons you have stated.
Best to you,
DH
