BSOD in IL-2

First, I unfortunately I already sent a web-form request to Tech Support so you may prefer to answer it here.

With the Trackir 5b 'final' software and Trackir 4 device I get the BSOD in IL-2. This happens 1 to 3 times during 3 hour sessions. I have uninstalled it and reverted to Trackir 4 software and over three such sessions it has been ok.

I did read on one forum that it may be a conflict with the Saitek stick software but that was an unqualified 'might be...'.

Any ideas on this please? My kit is:-

AMD 64x2 2GHz 3800+ CPU
2 x XFX 7800GT SLi 256Mb
2Gb Corsair low latency RAM 2-2-2-5
450w PSU
Windows XP SP2
Samsung 226BW 22" Widescreen 1680 x 1050
Saitek X52 HOTAS and Rudders
TrackIR4 and Pro Clip
Medusa surround sound headset

What version of the video card drivers are you using?

Running in SLI mode?

Any other applications running in the background?

Have you looked at updating to SP3, for XP?
