Anyone using this for CAD work?

I need a mouse alternative due to carpal tunnel, RSI, etc.

I'm not using it for CAD, but I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to do so. Also, in case you weren't aware, there is a "precision mode" which allows you to do precision cursor positioning.

Thanks for the tip!

The more I read, the more it sounds like this may work. The deal with CAD is speed and I'm used to thousands of left clicks, drags and drops per day--which is why I'm in the fix I'm in now. I spent $60 plus for an Evoluent mouse that didn't pan out so the price on the Smartnav isn't that bad. Especially when you consider their 30 day trial and the fact that my entire lively is on the line.

A little more research and I'll probably take the plunge.

I had no idea this tech was available and was about to give up and try a track ball.
