Maxium distance from camera

I just got my TIR5 today with the pro clip, and I cant seem to get the 3 dots on the software screen unless I move about 5 feet closer to the LCD. I currently game on my couch about 12' away. Is this to far for this device to work? I don't have any other light sources that interfere with the camera. The only specs I can find are 2 feet minimum no maximum specs.

Ideal distance is going to be 2-6 feet from the camera itself.

I just did another test and putting the camera on the TV stand base worked better but i only get the top and bottom camera light to turn green. The middle one stays red. What can cause this?

Top and bottom LEDs?

Are you taking about the TrackCLip Pro, within the camera view?

How far away are you?

Is there any other object that is green on the camera view?
