Hi,
I posted originally about this problem sometime ago. Anyway, I have been using the trackir 2 for many years now and was looking to upgrade and bought a SmartNAV 4. The problem I have is using the SmartNAV 4 with some games and now with some CAD software I use for work. Both of these work well with the trackir 2 because of the autopan feature, which is not availble with the SmartNAV 4. I have tried setting the cursor positioning to absolute this does not help. I also tried using the compatable trackir software with mouse emulation, only problem is the lack of hotkeys for mouse clicks. I cannot use a mouse what so ever because of my disability. Would it be possible to add the autopan to the SmartNAV 4. Even easier maybe add the hotkeys for mouse clicks to a modified version of the trackir software that will only work with the SmartNAV.
If none of this is possible can I get the trackir SDK and do it myself. I really need a solution.
SmartNAV 4 useless without autopan
Re: SmartNAV 4 useless without autopan
We have created a feature ticket for your request, but the re is no timeline as to when this will be added to the software.
Re: SmartNAV 4 useless without autopan
One thing you could do for now is use the "mouse keys" accessibility option that is built into Windows.
Another idea would be to get an ability switch to plug into your SmartNav (if it is the EG or AT model) or something like the origin instruments "swifty" USB switch interface.
