Gray dots in Tracking Screen

Hi,
I just reinstalled my TrackIR4 pro after "restoring" my hard drive. I use the "tri-clip" on the bill of a baseball hat. I remember that the Tracking Screen would show green dots to represent the tri-clip, but now they are shades of gray. The track performance is very poor. Can you help?
Thanks
Stu

What TrackIR software version are you using?

What OS?

Do you see any Green, or Red in the tracking screen?

Vincent,
I installed version 4.1.037.FinalB on XP. After the software installed I plugged in the hardware and noticed it was getting drivers for TrackIR 3. The top reflector is green, the two outside reflectors and the center reflector (from the hat)flutter between white and gray.
Thanks
Stu

Do you have the TrackIR hat, with the built in reflector?

Yes, I have the hat with the single reflector at the front of the bill along with the three reflector metal "clip"

OK, you will need to cover up the reflector, or use a different hat, as that would be one to many reflectors for the camera to look at, which can cause the software to behave erratically.

Also do you have vector expansion enabled on the device?

Vincent,
Case closed. I removed the triangle clip from my Natural Point hat and all works well. I must have installed the enhanced version before but now I don't need it since all I use TrackIR for is IL2 Sturmovick which is only pitch and yaw. Thanks for your assistance.
