FSX not recognizing center and pause hotkeys

Recently upgraded from TrackIR4 to TrackIR5. Am running MS FSX on Windows 7 OS computer. TrackIR5 is running fine except that I can't get the hotkeys to work within the program. If I exit and go to the TrackIR control panel, the hotkeys work as expected. Didn't have this problem previously with TrackIR4 - any suggestions? Thanks.

Are you running both the trackIR software, and FSX as an admin (right click on the exe for each, and select run as admin).

Are you running any keyboard macro software?

I just purchased the trackIR 4 and updated the drivers on line as recommended. It runs great and adds to the overall simulation experience in FSX. However, I have not been able to assign keyboard commands such as center, pause etc. If I pause FS and maximize the IR display page, select any of the commands from there it will then "work" but not from within FSX. Obviously I am doing something wrong. Its a great product and worked great right out of the box. I'm running FSX with SP 1, 2 and Windows 7 with 64 bit.

Are the hotkeys you are using for TIR, also being used by the gaming application?
