I think there is a huge difference, from now on I'll be using the F7 button with Track IR5 while in VC mode in all my video's.
Do y'all think the 2nd half is better?

Hey caaront. Just a little feedback on Precision Mode. Despite its name, it actually reduces the responsiveness in tracking by essentially applying large amounts of smoothing to the data. This is intended to be a quick "stabilizer" when you're locking in on a target, reading a gauge, etc--and you want to be sure that you don't move off of your target. (So, the "Precision" in the name is not about making the tracking more precise, but rather about stabilizing the tracking when you're making "precise" movements in-game). I wouldn't personally recommend using it all the time, because it does remove the ability to have the in-game tracking match your actual head movement. The smoothing will increase the lag between the two.
However, there is a way to apply some smoothing to your tracking--if you're discovering that you like the effect--but with a bit more granularity. Since Precision Mode simply adds smoothing to the tracking, you can instead use the Smooth bar at the top left of the TrackIR software. This should allow you to fine-tune the smoothing to your taste a bit better, as it's not just an "on/off" setting. You can tell the software you want to smooth the data X amount, which can help you dial in on the perfect level of stability without sacrificing too much responsiveness. That sweet spot varies a lot from person to person. I like very low smoothing levels--about 10 or 15. But I know others that like it very high--upwards of 50 or 70.
Of course, in the end, this is
your TrackIR, and it's
your gaming experience. Whatever works best for your enjoyment is what's most important. I just wanted to give a little feedback on what we recommend as the ideal way to find stable tracking.

Thank you very much.
I see what you are saying.
I had a heck of a time pushing buttons before discovering F7, LOL, I'd end up pausing T-IR.
I'll experiment.
Thanks for the info.
Track IR 5 is what motivated me to enjoy FS again, I was burned out.

I'm glad that you're getting some good usage out of your TrackIR 5. We love hearing that! I'd definitely play around with both the Smooth slider and Precision Mode to find a balance between desired smoothness during normal gameplay and especially smooth motion when interacting with your cockpit.

I found the perfect balance last night, I will eventually have a photo real Grand Canyon in the Aerosoft F-16 video.
This is the very best and most important add on one can get for FS, it should be the first add on on everyones list.
