I can get software versions 4 and 5 to run fine. I can load a track in GTR2 but when it gets to the garage and you hit the "Drive" button to enter the car and drive the game freezes. This happens with both software versions. I started with 5 uninstalled and tried 4 and the same result: frustration.

What could possibly be the issue?

Windows XP SP2
ATI Radeon Mobility 2600 XT 256MB
4GB DDR2 SDRAM
2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Any other applications running in the background?

This does not occur, if the TrackIR software is not running?

Do you have the latest video card drivers installed?

Got it working by downloading the game updates for version 4 of the software located in the Update menu.
