Looking down problems

Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
I've only had TrackIR 5 for a couple of weeks now and everything has been fine until tonight. I have been changing some of the settings and don't know what I did -- but -- now when I look down (flying Rise of Flight) the view starts flipping around all over the place until I look forward again. I can look up and side to side and everything is OK until I again look down.
When I have the Track IR 5 software open on the desktop, it's the same thing.
How do I fix it?
