IR LED Blinking on TIR5

Good Day!
I use one quad retroreflective marker and TIR5 and want to make some filter to differ my marker from sun or over thermal signatures. Could you please advise me if following solution is possible or not. If I have two or more IR signatures in my camera view I switch off or set IR LEDs brightness to zero and mark all visible IR spots like not matched so after it I switch on IR LEDs and use false marker map for reference. and after that I have my marker. Could you please report me delay on switch on switch of IR LED and what about LED lifetime?
