Outside light sensitivity

The TIR camera is sort of facing the windows, it's pretty much impossible to fly with it during the day, unless I close all the blinds. Why is that?

TrackIR uses infrared light to track the markers on your hat/headset. The sun is the largest source of IR light in our solar system, so it does tend to overwhelm our sensor if it's in view. :)
