Modification for Head-Mounted-Display

I own a Head-Mounted-Display and find that moving my head only a half-inch to look all the way behind me is not as realistic as I would like - is there a way to set the settings so that I need to rotate my head closer to 6 to 12 inches ? (this would make it more realistic)
