exporting c3d error... please i need help!!

i recently recored a 13minute facial mocap piece in arena using optitrack.
13 mins works out at around 80000 frames roughly.
when in arena i can play through and see all 80000 frames.
however for some reason when i export the data it only exporting 16453 frames.
i ensure that the export frames range is 0-80000 but it still exports only 16k.
now i have noticed that for some reason the frames range in the bottom right says 16k frames but i can play thoough 80k+ frames, when i try to increase this number it stays at 16k and then crops the time line to 16k... the only way i can get my timeline back is to type in 80k but this range is reset when i save, edit or export any form of data.
im assumin something has happened and the scene is corrupt. i am unable to get the actor back in to re-record the data.
i need advice on how to resolve this situation.
