Smartnav4 mounting on laptop

Hi I'm new here so forgive me if this has been Q and A'd before.

I'm now using Smartnav4 a vast improvement on the 1,2 & 3 apart from the mounting clamp which I find inferior to the old style & not an improvement.

Because I use a wheelchair mounted laptop I've found the new SMN 4 mount does not clamp tightly & falls off at the slightest touch or jerky wheelchair motion & I'm going to break it should I run over it.

Has anyone got an idea how to cure this apart from using sticky tape to hold it securely in place as it also use it on my desktop pc.

Wayne (aka simpleton).

The base on the SmartNav 4 is attached using a standard 1/4-20 thread tripod connector. If you'd like to use a different base then you can unscrew the stock version and attach a different one.

The "ClamperPod 2" in our OptiTrack store is compatible with the SmartNav 4:

Here is a link for others which might work. Clamps which allow tilting or rotating the mounted device will make positioning the SmartNav easier.
