I have the ProClip with TrIR (sometimes use hat clip but not often). All will be working perfectly but I may switch full/window view, start another flight, or cycle enable/disable TrIR, or some other operation and TrIR stops working. Today I exited Radar Contact v 4 and it stopped working.
Usually, after TrIR stops working, trying to exit the program the camera cannot shut down so Task Manager must be used for that.
I have Windows 7 Ultimate, 6 GB RAM and corei7 LGA 1366 CPU running FSX. Is this a known bug or is mine an isolated problem?
Any help getting things working properly again will be appreciated.
TrackIR Stops working during flights
Re: TrackIR Stops working during flights
Are you plugging in directly to the system, or are you using a hub?
Have you tried isolating the device on the USB ports?
Do you have the TrackIR plugged into the TrackClip Pro, or are they plugged in seperately?
Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?
In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Root Hub"(s), that show, and then select properties. On the power management tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the USB port to save power (i.e. uncheck the box). Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.

Re: TrackIR Stops working during flights
Hi Vincent, I will check the power feature when I get back to the PC.
I am not using a hub but plugging directly into the PC.
Have tried several different slots but results are the same
Track IR is plugged into the TracClip Pro. Is that wrong?
It worked flawlessly today but after closing out FSX I tried to exit TrackIR and the "shutting down clients" window popped up as usual. However, it would not shut down and the "TrackIR is not responding......" message appeared so a forced shutdown was needed.
More troubleshooting later today or tomorrow.

OK, we have seen the power down, USB resources not being released by the PC issue, and it is on our list of items for a future software release.
Sometimes splitting the TrackClip, from the TrackClip Pro can help with camera/USB power issues.
