LEDS loosing Power ?

yesterday i did some captures and had problems with the cameras not seeing points after a certain distance.

i have 12 v100 cams
(6 of the first, and 6 of the second generation)

on two optihuds

the distance from camera to capture center was about 13 feet.

for the first time i wanted to calibrate with the new 3point wand, but it hardly was seen by the cameras. only when i waved directly to them and moved closer.
it did hardly work at all, and ended up with 12 times poor.

since the markers are much smaler then on the 1point wand,
i did retry with the old wand and calibration method.

but still, when i wave to one tripod, the oposite one does hardly see anything from that.
(and yes, i held the wand upwards and did not stand in the way)

its just like the cameras cant see as far anymore as before.

like if the leds are loosing illuminating power through the years.. can that be ?

also i still have cameras just shutting down during capturing.
first everything is there, but a few captures later, suddenly 1-3 cameras dont record points anymore..

i hoped the upgrade from d-link to optihud and from arena 1.4 to 1.6.3 might make it better.. but it didnt. :(

Hi Spencer,

What settings do you have for your camera Exposure, Threshold, and Intensity?

Are the V100:R2 cameras in High Power Mode? If so, do they see the markers better than the V100s?

I have noticed that several of my cameras have dim LED clusters, regardless of settings. Im assuming this is a case of them being a little underpowered.

It has not affected he qualioty of the capture on a face volume, but I am keen to see if his has an effect on Body Cpature when I get to set it up.

Hey Seth,

i left all settings on default:

Thresh 150 / Expos 55 / Intens 15 / FPS 100

if thats still default (?)

its all v100 cameras (not r2)
only the case of 6 look different then the other 6
just like the different cams on this picture here:

What are your specifications, for the PC you are using?

Have you looke at washing the markers themselves with warm soapy water, incase there is some oil/dirty hampering the reflective material
