I have a problem. When smartnav 4 is running sometimes the screen freezes, only restarting the computer helps. This happens up to 4 times a day. What can I do?
(I don't use Windowblinds)

What version of Windows are you using?

Are you connected directly to the PC, or using a hub?

What version of the SN software are you using?

So it seems to occur, after a specific item/function/task is done?

Windows XP SP3

directly cennected

3.20.037

It seems to occur completly random, not connected with a special activity. Sometimes it occurs when I'm comletely inactiv.

Have you tried isolating the device on the USB ports?

Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?

In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Root Hub"(s), that show, and then select properties. On the power management tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the USB port to save power (i.e. uncheck the box). Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.

I turned off the power save feature for the USB ports, but the screen still freezes.

desktop/laptop system?

What other applications do you have running in the background?

Do you have a USB device plugged in next to the SmartNAV?

Instead of rebooting to resolve the issue, what happens if you move USB ports?
