Trackir5 nothing works

Post by jesterspa »

I've purchased my Traickir5 + Tracjclip-Pro one week ago.

Yesterday, after dowloaded and installed the software, i executed the program and i was not able to get movement or seeing nothing in the camera option (I'm using windows XP-PRO SP3, Avast antivirus, a 3 years old NVIDIA graphic card, Asus motherboard, 4GB RAM...).

I've tried to reinstall the software, change the position of the camera, tried the the hatclip, tried the trackclip-pro but always the same results... no movements, looks like frozen.

My camera is not listed as a model with problems (ref.: xxxxxx).

What i'm doing worng? what can i do to solve te problem?

Thx.

Same here. Just installed the latest beta and it does not detect my camera! Running Win7 64. Had no trouble with ver. 4

Is the device detected in the system device manager, under NaturalPoint devices?

If so, please check the device properties, and make sure that it is using the latest drivers (2.50.0.0 released 11/2009). If it is detecting/using the older drivers, the new software will be unable to see the device.

If it is using the older drivers, please run the update drivers option, manually update the drivers by pointing to the NaturalPoint\TrackIR5\Drivers folder in the Program Files (Program Files (x86) folder.

This happens to me quite intermittently while using the 5.1 beta 2. I find it sometimes works again if I unplug and plug the device back in the USB plug. I`m not sure why this is, since it never had this behaviour with earlier versions of TIR 5.

Vincent, the driver installed its the right version (2.50.0.0 - 11/2009).
In the "Status" there's only one light on, the others are off.
See the screens please.

Are you using the TrackClip, or the TrackClip Pro?

Do you have the Trackclip device on your head, within the camera view?

Are you connecting directly to the PC, or using a hub?

In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Root Hub"(s), that show, and then select properties. On the power management tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the USB port to save power (i.e. uncheck the box). Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.

I use the Trackclip Pro, placed in my headphones and within the view range of the camera (the camera is placed on one side of the screen,as the manual said).

The device don't works with the hattrack too...
