TrackIR 4 and mouse emulation

Hi, I just upgraded my trusty old version 1 device to a new V4 Pro.
Sadly the mouse mode seems to be lacking. It was EXTREMELY useful in Falcon 4, where I had mapped a joystick button to switch between mouse mode and enhanced mode as I switched between 2-D cockpit and 3-D.
In the 2-D mode you could then look at the cockpit switches and buttons and activate with them with a joystick button assigned as a mouse click.
Now I either have to release of my HOTAS and fumble for a mouse or release my HOTAS and look for a Ctrl-Alt-Shift combination. Everyone who's playing Falcon 4 nows that there are too many button combinations to remember or map to a HOTAS.
Obvioulsly this topic has been brought up before, but I really want to empasize that the mouse mode is useful in games too!
