So, I'm back.

Track IR fails randomly between 2 seconds and thirty minutes of use. It doesn't matter whether or not I am running a program. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the TrackIR software too many times to count, and just tried out the newest version to no avail

I'm running win 7

I thought I had gotten to fix the problem, but turns out it isn't fixed.

I checked that the USB drives werent turning off, then uninstalled them. Track IR is plugged in directly, not through a hub.

So, any help would be much appreciated.

Is this a laptop, or desktop system?

Any other USB devices plugged in next to the TrackIR camera?

The software itself is crashing correct?

Do you see this issue, when using the 4.1038 software?

Its a laptop. Some friends at SimHQ recommended that I plug it into a powered hub, which has worked so far for a few hours of simming without any crashes (running my CH gear and track IR off the same hub)


so hopefully the issue was power related....

Yes am externally powered hub, would be my recommendation as well.
