Camera Tracking Status

Hallo!

Win7 64bit
asus m4n98td evo (latest motherboard drivers)
driver: TrackIR_5.1.3.Final(all drivers does not work. driver v. 4 also)

Status: Tir dedected and connected. (green)
Camera Tracking status (black)

Tir is not responding on my imput. No movement at all.
Infrared lamps does not show up, yellow lamps to.

I have the exact same problem. Updated to latest trackIR 5 software and now it is not working any more.
Wondering what could be the problem, using Win7 ultimate 64bit + ATI 5870 with 11.4 preview driver.

My TrackIR 5 does not even light up the led's, it has no life.
Before I updated, it was tracking something, but as I had some archaic version installed decided to install the latest.
Thought it would bring some enhancements, especially considering CoD was just released today.

Not funny flying Cliffs of Dover without head tracking...

Yea i wanted to by cliffs of Dover today but not i have to wait for a solution. :( Or to we have to send it back to the trader, because of damage?

UpMerge - When you run the TrackIR software, does your serial number appear in the top left corner next to the word "Device"?

Antti - I would recommend re-installing according to this procedure first, as there can sometimes be conflicts with Windows 7 security features:

Try uninstalling the software, and unplugging the camera
Re download the latest version of the TrackIR software, and save to desktop.
Right click on the installer, and select "Run as administrator" (even if your account is an administrator)
Continue the installation as normal. When the installation is finished, plug in the camera.
Check the device manager to ensure that the device drivers properly installed. If they did not, update the drivers, and point windows to:
c:\program files (x86)\naturalpoint\trackir5\drivers

I've tried that procedure but no avail.

I have un-installed software, unplugged camera, installed software with admin rights. Tried all available 5.x versions and latest 4.x version. Outcome is always the on 5.x software. TrackIR camere is recognized but it does not track anything. The green leds blink briefly when TrackIR 5 software is started but after that it is lifeless.

On 4.x software tracking windows shows one green pixel constantly, even when not pointing pro clip ir beacons on camera.

Also I tried both x86 and x64 drivers but that did not make any difference.

Any more ideas?

Antti - Could you send a screenshot of the 4.x software displaying the single pixel to support@naturalpoint.com?

UpMerge - Could you send a screenshot of the TrackIR 5 software while you are in front of the camera and it is acting unresponsive to support@naturalpoint.com?

If there's anything in the screenshot that would indicate that there is an issue with configuration we'll help you get that corrected. If anything indicates a hardware issue, we'll get it fixed for you.
