Problems with TrackIR

Hello, first, sorry for my bad english, I will try to explain my problem as good as I can.

I purchased TrackIR 5 some months ago and ever since I am having one strange problem. I have my trackIR device on top left corner of my screen and using trackclip PRO. The devices are pretty much face to face so there should be no problem. The distance between devices is about 60cm. The first problem is, I can only use standard mode, if I switch to precision, I have to close to the screen to distance about 40cm, or the dots turn red and there is no tracking, but its the distance where I could not sit and also if one dot turns red, which happens if I look down, it stopps tracking. Even if I switch to standard, it works fine, but only for few minutes. After few minutes it loses the tracking and it starts to jump or shake so I have to reset, sometimes even multiple times to get it work again. Sometimes I have to restart all your software to get it work again.

When it loses the tracking in standard mode, its usually caused by all dots turning red (it usually tracks 9 dots at the same time).

Any help ?

Im using windows 7 - 64bit, installed an running the software as administrator.

I tried to play with it during weekend. I have moved my trackIR a little bit behind my LCD which helped me and now it tracks fine in standard mode. If I close my trackclip pro closer to the monitor, it loses track. I can say, my trackIR works in precision mode between 0-40 cm and in standard between 70 - 150cm, the problem is that I am sitting right in the range, where it has problems with tracking.

Are there any sources of sunlight in the area you are trying to use your TrackIR in? When your TrackIR is in the 40-70cm zone do you see anything in the camera view (right click on the view portion of the software and select camera view)?

I checked this of course. Camera view is allways showing 3 bigger dots and 2 smaller around each of them so I am tracking 9 objects. The precision only works if they are all green, standard works if at least one of them is green, but between 40-70 they sometimes turn all red so I am still tracking 9 objects and see them on camera view, but there is no tracking on the device. The room is very small and dark, there is no light source behind me, if I close the door and I can see no obstructions on the camera view in any circumstances, so this should be fine.

Do you experience the same issues using the hat mounted TrackClip in the 40-70 range?

I tried to find it, but no luck, I moved last year and all such a tiny things got lost. I played a little bit with what I have and still there is the same problem. Here are some screenshots of my camera view with explanation:

I have those 9 dots in standard mode, its tracking the small ones. if one gets red, i lose the tracking.

in precision, the small the small dots join the big dots and there are only 3 objects. Up to 40cm they are green as you can see on screenshot. If i move away from my trackir device they all turn red and there is no tracking.
