A way to reinforce to prevent breakage?

I just ordered my Track Clip Pro today, and now I'm reading LOTS of posts in this forum about it breaking, shoddy construction, etc. etc.
I'm now getting a bit of buyer's remorse and I don't even have the product yet. I'm half expecting it to arrive in busted up little pieces.
Is there anything you can reccommend to prevent it from breaking? Maybe adding glue or tape before it breaks to reinforce it? I'm not going to toss it around, but I also don't want to be terrified that it's going to fall apart on me either.
What percentage of these things break within the warranty period? I'm surprised this issue hasn't be addressed in any way besides "email us and we'll replace it."
