Softwear upgrade procedures

I'm sure this has been asked and answered before, but I can't find it in the forum or the manual.
I currently have version 5.0.0.3 installed and want to install 5.1.3. Can I just install over, or should I uninstall the current version before installing the newer version?

I believe it will install over the older version but not totally sure. You can run the installer on the newer version to see what message you get. If it asks you to uninstall the older version, do so. But, I think it will do this for you.

If you have a previous version within a series (5.x, for example), the installer will first uninstall the old version before installing the newer version. Alternatively, you could manually uninstall it using Windows control panel.
If you have a previous software series (4.x, and you're installing 5.x), they will install side by side with no uninstallation needed.
