Track IR 5 crashes on start up - one possible solution

Hi folks,

I use FS9 under XP and suffered constantly this issue and found nothing really that helps. Only a new installation on a different drive helped. But why?

One possible reason are the profiles that i backed up every time before re-installation.

So, go to
X:...\NaturalPoint\TrackIR5\Profiles
backup all profiles,
then delete all except the default one,
then start Track IR

Another possible reason is an USB-controller error.
solution: (i have the german win XP, so i don't know the correct spelling of the tabs)

press "win-key + pause" "systemproperties" should open -> Extened -> down to "..variables" -> new

Enter first "Devmgr_show_details" Value "1"
Enter then "Devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices" value "1"

go to the hardware manger -> select "show hidden hardware"

now, delete only all transparent entries in the USB-Controller section.

These are wasted entries that no longer used but could produce conflicts
