My Track IR 5 works very well with Microsoft Flight Simulator, two green lights and all is well. However, I can't get it to work with Rise of Flight.
I only get the one left hand side green light and no simulated head movement at all.
Any help would be appreciated

Hello -
What version of Windows?
If you're running vista or 7, try running both by right clicking on the software and selecting "Run as administrator"

Re: Track IR 5 with Rise of Flight
Hello Mike, I'm using Windows 7 and I do run as administrator.
As I said, TIR works normally with Microsoft Flight Simulator.
It seems that TIR and Rise of Flight are not communicating with each other.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Re: Track IR 5 with Rise of Flight
Often times when I mention this, I find that people are assuming that because their account is an administrator that they are running their applications as one. There is a difference between running an application on an account that is an administrator, and running the application by right clicking on the icon and selecting "Run as administrator". I'm not necessarily saying that's what's happening in this case, however I find it does help to clarify sometimes.
You may want to check the following directory:
c:\users\(your user account name)\appdata\local\virtualstore\(look for anything in here that could be TrackIR or Rise of Flight related).
appdata is, by default, hidden in 7, so you will have to enable viewing hidden files or manually type the path in.

Re: Track IR 5 with Rise of Flight
Are all the program installed in the "Program Files" directory? Apparently Windows 7 limits the number of executables in the Programs Files directory that can talk to each other without admin permissions, but if you install them outside of the Programs Files directory, they are free to communicate with other running programs.
This ends up being a big issue if you're trying to run TrackIR, and voicecom software along with a sim.

I hadn't heard of this limitation, do you by any chance have any links to articles explaining this that I could look at? I'd be very interested to read more on it.
