Key board buttons in FSX

Hi
I have just re installed my system (new SSD drive) and have run into the following issue.
None of the keyboard buttons F9 / F12 etc will work once I am in FSX? It all workd great in the Track IR program?
The visual side of life works fantastic, but I will need to be able to reset and sometimes switch of the Track IR Pro, therfore need the F9 and F12 buttons to work.
They used to work in FS9 before I rebuilt the PC, but I only have FSX on this machine now and so cannot compare.
My System is:
Win 7 64 Bit
Intel i5 650@3.2Ghz
7Gb Ram
60Gb Solid State Drive
500Gb HDD
