I got a problem with this weird dead spot in the viewarea.
You can see it in those pics.

It looses the objects its tracking in that very spot.

I can get around it by aligning the tracked objects on the top or at the bottom of the viewarea.

But it still is a fault in the device? There's no visible dents or anything on the camera.

The shop (verkkokauppa.com) where i bought this in finland said to me that if i cant find a solution from here, they have to take the device for testing before i get a new one.

Thanks!

I would try operating this in a different room first, to eliminate the possibility that IR interference is causing this. It's not a "dead spot" so to speak, because it can track in some circumstances and not in others.

I have tried it in different light and tested it on my laptop, also changed its position. There is no light reflection or anything that could cause that. I still have not managed to solve whats causing it.

In my opinion it is not an external source thats causing this..
And its only that one spot, everything else works perfectly.

The camera just cant see in that little spot there, its always just black.

Made a .avi out of it so you can see better.

(zip is only 400kB, .avi inside it 1.5MB resolution still pretty good)

I can help the problem a bit if i loosen the light treshold, but then the light will start to screw things up =)
