Warranty Question

Bought TrackIR5 in October of last year so I'm within the limited year warranty. But the wording is a little confusing on the website or I'm just really tired/hungry and not reading it correctly.
Specifically this part:
My headset is broke. Actually, it still works. But the infrared part that connects to the clipy thing (lol sorry for the terminology here) one of the securing clips is broke off. My brother in his infinite wisdom while helping me move didn't listen to me when I told him to put all that in a seperate box.
Does this limited warranty cover replacing that part of my TrackIR?
Specifically this part:
This warranty does not cover physical damage to the surface of this product. This warranty does not apply when the malfunction results from the use of this product in conjunction with accessories, other products, or peripheral equipment.
