TrackIR 5 issue(s) w/ TrackClip Pro

I just upgraded from a TIR 4 to a 5; and I'm getting issues when using the pro clip. At normal distance (~3 ft.) I see 3 dots for each LED (one big one in the middle, and two smaller ones on the top right and bottom left) for a total of 9 tracking points. This seems to be interfering with tracking as the dots constantly flicker and lose "connection" with the camera making my view jump around (it looks as tho it can't "decipher" which dots to track and switches sources randomly). The only time it works correctly is when I'm either really close (so they're bunch up as 3 single points); or when I back far away (the camera "looses" the smaller dots and only picks up the big ones).
The pro clip works fine with my TIR4, and the regular hat clip works fine with both 4 and 5. My serial number doesn't fall into range of the recall, and there's no other 'anomalies' with the sources (weird shaped blobs, random lines, etc.). There was also no other light sources in my room when testing it. I've tried messing with all of the settings but I still get 9 dots with any changes.
From reading other posts, at first glance I didn't think I had a faulty device as the symptoms aren't quite the same, and just assumed that the TIR5 camera tracked additional points on the pro clip.
So, do I have a faulty device? Is there a setting/workaround that I missed to get it to work properly? Any help is appreciated!
